Building Typology - Pavilion | Urban Intervention

Puppet Mansion is an urban intervention proposal which brings life and focus into these underutilised waterfront urban spaces near to the Pasar Payang through the introduction of the unique programme promoted in this little pavilion. A waterfront site is chosen because of the coexistence between the urban fabric and these natural water features offer many opportunities for interesting public activities as people are naturally drawn to the views, sounds and smell of the water.

Location - Lots 1761, 1762, 3540, Kuala Terengganu

The proposed site is the amalgamation of 3 lots - 1761, 1762,3540. It is currently occupied by the Bangunan Mara, a parking lot, a small undeveloped lot, and a few single-storey shop lots. It is bound by the 3 roads namely Jalan Masjid Abidin, Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin and Jalan Tok Lam. It is located adjacent to the compound of Istana Maziah, as well as within walking distance of Pasar Payang, Dataran Shahbandar and Chinatown.

The project's philosophy is to engage in the rural-urban transformation. While at the intersection between architecture and traditional crafts, the architect is committed to both design and research of architecture. From concept to construct, the architect strives to realize the built idea and to test projects through the dynamic interaction between architecture and larger public.

Location - Bali, Indonesia

The Akmani Legian simply stands as an “Iconic Passage” for Kuta, especially in Legian area. The design intention is to link the Legian Street in front with the Banesari Street behind. This issue derives from the local life style which is familiar with lively pedestrian, both during day and night. The architect wants to provide a flexibility of movement by creating a passageway between Legian Street and Banesari Steet as access for the pedestrian.

Building Typology - Sustainable Hotel

The proposal of a sustainable hotel design in the city centre of Terengganu is a unique opportunity to address many issues related to urban design, sustainability, and local cultural contexts. Ultimately, Sleep Inn will be an exciting and relevant addition to the city of Kuala Terengganu, to further enhance the tourist experience in this historic city.
